Dustin Hudgeons Supports Operation Hope

Dustin Hudgeons is proud to be a volunteer in his community. Although he has a hectic schedule he always seems to find time to help those in need. Dustin Hudgeons was shocked by the devastating impact that Hurricane Sandy had on the East Coast. As he watched the coverage of this natural disaster he was moved to find a way to help. He was especially impacted because it seemed as if so many people needed help and the destruction was so widespread.

He knew that a local organization called Operation Hope had made mission trips to New Orleans to assist the local population after Hurricane Katrina. Dustin Hudgeons contacted the Operation Hope organization and expressed his concerns about the people of the East Coast. Dustin Hudgeons learned that the volunteers at Operation Hope had indeed felt the same compassion and empathy for the people impacted by Hurricane Sandy and were planning to make a mission trip to New York. Dustin Hudgeons felt compelled to join the team from Operation Hope on the mission.

Dustin Hudgeons joined with other volunteers from the Operation Hope team as they traveled to New York in order to help the communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy. He was shocked by the utter destruction that he witnessed while in New York. In some places entire communities were devastated leaving scores of people without homes, clothing, or any possession at all. The Operation Hope team represented their hometown of Lubbock, Texas in a positive way. The people that they were able to assist were extremely grateful for their presence. Dustin Hudgeons believes that many people were shocked to see volunteers from as far away as Texas. Dustin Hudgeons was very impressed by the organization Operation Hope. He is proud to have volunteered with such an outstanding mission group.
