Dustin Hudgeons Helps Others with Good Works

Dustin Hudgeons has always had a desire to help those less fortunate than himself. He realizes how blessed he has been in his own life. Dustin Hudgeons does not take his blessings for granted and tries to live a simple life despite his success as a businessman.

To show his gratitude as a successful business owner, Dustin Hudgeons has willingly dedicated his time to helping others through acts of charity and community service. He has helped out several organizations, with Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS being the most prominent.

Dustin Hudgeons began his support of Lubbock Monterey AMBUCS in 2010. The non-profit organization is dedicated to helping people with disabilities. Dustin Hudgeons participation with the organization has been extensive for the short period he has been a member. He served one year as his chapter's secretary and two years as Program Chairman of AMBUCS. As chairman, he helped arrange community projects like attaining trykes designed for disabled children, designing and building playgrounds for children with disabilities, and building ramps so homes and businesses are more easily accessible.

Dustin Hudgeons's work with AMBUCS was recognized by the organization in 2012 when he was awarded the Presidential Award. But Dustin Hudgeons has served other groups too. Dustin Hudgeons helped out with missionary work through Operation Hope, which is a nonprofit private bank for the poor.

Another organization Dustin Hudgeons helped out was Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center. Once again, this organization is meant to help individuals with disabilities. Dustin Hudgeons supports equine therapy because of the positive impacts shown by therapy recipients. Volunteers to the program like Dustin Hudgeons help out by side walking and leading, schooling, or performing clerical or office duties. The program happily accepts volunteers and Dustin Hudgeons knew the program was another way he could help individuals with disabilities. He was grateful for a chance to work with people in person and make a small difference.
