Texas Tech Alumnus: Dustin Hudgeons

Dustin Hudgeons is very proud to be an alumnus of the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. Dustin Hudgeons earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Management from the University. He credits Texas Tech with helping to establish a solid academic foundation that has served him well in his professional life. The curriculum at Texas Tech encourages students to work very hard. The courses are challenging and the professors have high expectations for their students. Texas Tech also believes in exposing students to real world experiences. The combination of strong academics and hands on learning is the key for success according to Dustin Hudgeons. Dustin Hudgeons has had a successful career since his graduation from Texas Tech five years ago. He is a proud member of the Texas Tech Alumni Association.

Texas Tech University is located on the South Plains of West Texas in Lubbock, Texas. Dustin Hudgeons notes that the University was founded in 1923. He feels that one of the best things about Texas Tech University is the abundance of traditions promoted by the University leadership and embraced by faculty, staff, and students. Even though Texas Tech is a large university it is committed to making sure that each student is treated to personalized attention. Texas Tech has an undergraduate population of over 30,000 students. Dustin Hudgeons comments that the university is able to offer 150 undergraduate degree programs. Texas Tech offers graduate and doctoral programs, it is also home to a law school and medical school.

Dustin Hudgeons credits Texas Tech University with promoting a strong work ethic. Students are encouraged to balance academics, internships, community service, athletics, and on campus club involvement. This delicate balancing act helps students to develop excellent time management skills. Dustin Hudgeons feels that these skills are important in his personal and professional life. Prioritizing is an important skill that was encouraged at Texas Tech. These skills have helped Dustin Hudgeons to be able to lead a life where he has time for a successful career, his family, community service, and hobbies. Dustin Hudgeons feels very fortunate to have chosen Texas Tech for his undergraduate experience. He is proud to be a Texas Tech University Alumnus.
